Why Should You Choose an Outside Venue for Your Family Photo Shoot
Studio photography will always have a place in the industry. Because it is a controlled environment it is protected from unpredictable elements such as the weather and sunlight, for some photographers this makes it a preferable option. However, for me I would much prefer to grab my camera and head to the great outdoors. So why should you head to an outside venue for your family photo shoot?
Family photographs in Spring, make the most of the season
Taking family photographs on a beautiful Spring day sounds idyllic but it’s not always that easy. Both children and the weather can be frustratingly indecisive. In this post, I want to help you capture those moments even when your subjects or the environment prove to be difficult.

Lily visits the studio
For me, photography is about capturing forever those moments in life, whether it is a newborn, a first birthday, a walk in the park, a family celebration, or a wedding, each occasion is a privilege and an honour. Six week old Lily came along to the studio with her Mum for first portrait session. At six weeks it is always a challenge to capture those sleepy baby poses, ideally this type of session should be carried out in the first two weeks however it can be possible. Lily had very different ideas was super interested in everything going on around her, she was very content to take it all in. The results are perhaps not what was originally intended but as with all my sessions they were led by the client not by the photographer. This is especially important when working with newborns.
