Clearwell Castle Wedding Photography
This post is all about one of my favourite and local to me wedding venues. Here you’ll find a selection of pre wedding sessions as well as real weddings all captured at Clearwell Castle Wedding Venue.
It is a wonderful venue to photograph weddings. Steeped in history, lots of character and gorgeous grounds. It is one of Gloucestershire’s wedding gems, located in the village of Clearwell right in the Forest of Dean. I always get excited to return to this venue regardless of the season. The people who work there are friendly, helpful and always work work to ensure everyone has the best day ever. They also look after me really well too!
I am really lucky to photographed some amazing couples at Clearwell Castle wedding Venue. The grounds are perfect for pre wedding sessions, where together we explore for hidden spots for photographs and finding out why a couple has chosen Clearwell Castle Wedding Venue for their dream wedding. Was it the amazing ballroom where you say I do or the dance floor that lights up? Each wedding I have had the pleasure of capturing there has been unique, each couple adding their own personality to gorgeous setting.
The castle is set in over 20 acres so there are lots of spots to enjoy a quiet moment together after saying I do and for capturing photographs that you will treasure forever. The bandstand and the lake are perfect for photo opportunities. There are loads of comfortable areas for everyone to relax and enjoy the day.
James and Steph had their dream wedding at Clearwell Castle Wedding Venue, you can read all about it on Clearwell Castle's website.

What I love about Clearwell Castle?
The bridal suite is spacious, beautifully decorated with gorgeous features.
The ballroom is a light, elegant room for saying I do. Its neutral decor means it works well with your chosen colour scheme whether it is delicate pastels or bold brights.
The steps at the front of the castle are perfect for a shoot of everyone who attends your wedding - no-one can hide!
The spaces inside are great for photos and for guests to relax if it is chilly or perhaps a little damp outside.
The grounds are stunning pretty much all year round, we will always find some colour. There is a path nearly all the way round which means we can still explore the gardens for photos even when it has been wet.
