Family fun - The perfect hot chocolate
As the nights draw in, the days become cooler, the forest comes alive with rich vibrant reds, oranges and browns. My favourite time of the year. The forest makes a stunning backdrop for walks and of course family portraits.
Hot chocolate is great warmer and a favourite with my children, here I thought I would share with you our favourite recipe based on a version by Jamie Oliver.
Gently warm some semi skimmed milk in a pan, for an extra special treat you could use full fat or even gold top.
Place 2 tablespoons of good quality drinking chocolate in your mug. Blend with a small amount of the warmer milk. Drop a couple of marshmallows into your mug with maybe a square or two of chocolate.
With the rest the milk, pour into a flask, screw the top tight and shake hard for a minute. Pour the frothed milk over the marshmallows, chocolate and the blended drinking chocolate.
Finish with some additional marshmallows and a sprinkle of cocoa powder and sit back and enjoy xx
We shall be enjoying a mug of hot chocolate during the colours of autumn portrait sessions, if you would like more information or to book please contact me
