Pre wedding photoshoot | Llanthony Secunda Priory, Gloucestershire
I love doing pre wedding photoshoots! For me, they are an important part of the service I offer to my wedding packages.
They are more relaxed.
We get to know each other a little bit more.
We normally end up chatting about so many things not just your wedding although that does feature, gin, travel, favourite books and films.
However, so many people say to me, “But I am so awkward in photos, I always look bad. I hate getting my photo taken.”
A Pre-wedding photoshoot gives you a chance to work with your photographer, and your photographer a chance to work with you - making you feel more comfortable. You get an idea of what I am like behind the camera and what you can expect from me on your wedding day. I also get to get to know you guys more so that I can get the best of you as a couple.
Of my hundreds of couples, not one has felt comfortable in front of a camera. You are totally normal! I dislike having my photo taken too! But trust me when I say, it usually takes no more than 5 minutes to alleviate nerves and break down awkwardness, at which point you will find yourself having a lot of fun. Especially when you find me in the bushes or laying down on the ground - honest it makes fab images and gets a few smiles too.
For Laura and Dylan’s pre wedding session, we combined it with a visit to their fabulous wedding venue - Llanthony Secunda Priory in Gloucester. A gorgeous October afternoon, a year to the day until they say I do. Firstly we wandered around the inside of the venue, checking where the ceremony and the celebrations would be taking place, chatted about where we could possibly take photos if the British weather doesn’t work with us before heading out to the grounds.
We were spoilt for choice, so many fabulous and unusual spots for photos.
Both Laura and Dylan had said to me that they hate having their photo taken, that they are really awkward in front of the camera. Well, I am not so sure!
I love the smiles, the laughter and the connection between these two, it was a fun session and yes I did hide in the long grass and lie down ;)
Here is a selection of my favourite images from their session.
Pre wedding sessions are now included in all my wedding packages - drop me a message if you would like to know.
I am also offering Getting to know me sessions - the prefect chance to try me before committing. Drop me an email if you would to try before you buy!
