Real Wedding | Josh and Tyler say I do at Guildhall, Bath
Last month I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely wedding at the Guildhall in Bath for Josh and Tyler, their original wedding was due to take place in March, the night before, Halls, venues and churches were closed and the country went into lockdown. Having their wedding cancelled at the very last moment was heart breaking for everyone. It was so lovely to hear from Tyler saying that they have been able to reschedule their wedding and could finally make their lifelong promise to each other.
The rescheduled wedding was different to the day they had planned, guest numbers were greatly reduced, however they were able to share their day with those family and friends who couldn’t not attend via the wonders of modern technology and the service was shared with many more well wishers.
No longer a church wedding, instead a ceremony in the Guildhall in the beautiful city of Bath, a stunning location right by the Abbey. We took advantage of perhaps less busy streets and captured a few portraits on the steps of the Guildhall before heading to Parade Gardens for bubbles and cake with their guests and of course a few more photos.
The weather was kind for us, we missed the showers on our journey to Bath and they appeared again on our return to the Forest of Dean! The gardens provided us with lots of stunning backdrops for photos.
Although Josh and Tyler’s wedding wasn’t how they had planned, one thing was certain, it was filled with lots of smiles, joy and love and was an absolute pleasure to capture.
Here are a few of my favourite images from their day.
