Real Wedding | Sarah and Paul | Forest of Dean Wedding
Today, I thought I would share with you another real wedding from the summer. Like many weddings this year, it is smaller and a little different than planned. It was still a lovely wedding filled with all the bits I love about weddings - love, happiness and smiles! A lovely Forest of Dean Wedding.
This was the second rescheduled wedding due to COVID, Sarah and Paul were due to married in April right in the middle of lockdown. As restrictions eased, it was lovely to hear from Sarah and Paul who were keen to get married even if meant fewer guests and not quite the celebrations they had planned.
They wedding took place at the registry office in Cinderford and due to restrictions, the guests numbers were very limited, Sarah and Paul decided to make their promises in front of their children and Sarah’s father. After the short ceremony, Sarah and Paul were greeted by many friends and family who had travelled near and far to congratulate the couple.
The registry office in Cinderford is situated right next to the library, a bright, colourfully building was a wonderful backdrop for some couple portraits before heading into the Forest of Dean itself for some family portraits. During lockdown, I often walked pasted the library and thought how great it would be to use in some photos at my next wedding at the registry office - thank Sarah and Paul for indulging me!
At Sarah and Paul’s requested we headed over to the Cathedral - an iconic location in the Forest of Dean and part of the sculpture trail. This is one of my favourite locations in the forest, there lots of little paths which are great for photos as well as the main path leading to the stained glass window. This location was perfect for some family portraits as well as some photos of the newly married couple.
Once again, it was a wonderful wedding to capture filled with lots of happiness and joy.
"Kathryn was the first photographer we met and after our meeting, we both knew Kathryn was going to be our photographer. Very professional and the most friendly person you could wish to meet, which put us and our guests at ease and the pictures speak for themselves. We couldn't be happier with the results."
Here are a few of my favourite images from Sarah and Paul’s wedding.
