Real Wedding | Bishopswood House | Emma and Dave

It feels like it has been ages since I shared some real wedding inspiration so today I thought I would head back to last summer and the wonderful wedding of Emma and Dave at Bishopswood House.

Bishopswood House is a bit of a hidden gem, on the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire border, it has fabulous grounds - perfect for photographs! Its quirky interior has a homely feel yet is stylish for a wedding.

Dave and I paths had crossed numerous times, at weddings and networking, the first time I meet Emma was during a shoot I did last spring with ProDrone Services. This shoot allowed me to play!  Working in the evening, we were  blessed with the most incredible light, our location - a local beauty spot was stunning and perfect for a photo shoot. Emma and Dave were a joy to work with, very much in love, super comfortable in each other’s company and a lot of fun to spend time with, they made my job so easy and it meant I could capture so many wonderful moments for them. Following this session, Dave and Emma approached me to capture their forthcoming wedding. I must admit I jumped at the opportunity, a gorgeous couple and a stunning venue, I know it would be a wonderful wedding to capture.

The day itself was beautiful, the weather perfect, a stunning couple and guests that were full of character and great company to spend time with.

One of my favourite moments is waiting for the bride to arrive, the groom nervously awaits for his bride, anxious to see her, this moment didn’t disappoint, Dave’s face lit up when he caught sight of Emma escorted by her son, that moment was magical and a joy to capture. The couple exchanged their vows with big smiles, these continued throughout the day. We used the fabulous grounds to capture so many wonderful moments from the formal group shots to more intimate couple shots. The celebrations suited everyone, with a bouncy castle for the younger guests, hover boards which were enjoyed by all ages resulting in great candid moments. The grounds allowed guests to relax and enjoy the weather before enjoying a meal together, celebrating late into the night.
