Pre wedding photo shoot at Soudley Ponds in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
I must admit this was session I have been planning and wanting to do for a long time! A pre wedding shoot at Perrygrove Railway in the Forest of Dean.
As part of my full-day wedding packages I currently include a pre-wedding photoshoot. For some couples this is a must-have but some are unsure why you might want one. So, if you are a little unsure of what a pre wedding shoot is and why you might want one, let me tell you a little bit more about what a pre-wedding photo shoot is and their benefits.
I met with Lizzy and Alex at their wedding venue of Oxleaze Barn during Storm Dennis. With wild wind and rain we explored their wedding venue taking the time to get to know each other before their wedding day later this month. Exploring the gardens and grounds at Oxleaze we found so many wonderful spots for photographs.

An engagement photoshoot with Tilly and Josh at the beautiful Robinswood Hill in Gloucestershire.
I had the pleasure of first Matt and Dave a couple years ago whilst I was capturing a special celebration for a very good client of mine, we hit it off straight away and have since then met at other special occasions and bumped into each other whilst out and about. I was thrilled when they announce their engagement earlier this year and felt very honoured to be asked to capture their special day next year. As with all my couples I offered a prewedding session, it is the perfect opportunity to get to know each a bit more, to help put everyone at ease when being photographed and generally have some fun. Matt and Dave chose a dog walk on Mayhill for their session, so on a crisp December morning we donned our wellies and took in the views of the surrounding area from the beautiful Mayhill. Monty, their gorgeous French Bulldog joined us and as you can imagine stole the show!
For all the couples who booked wedding photography with me I offer a pre session, the benefits of this a numerous - you can read about these here.[/blog/pre-wedding-photoshoot-do-you-need-one/]
Becky and James are getting married this month. For their pre-wedding session we visited Symonds Yat, a stunning location which means a lot to the couple. Despite the showers, we managed to try quite a few different ideas. Following the session, Becky and James selected their favourite image to have made into a signing frame.
