I can’t believe we are already in October and so far this year I haven’t blogged about any of the fabulous weddings I have had the privilege of photographing so far this year.
As wedding photographers, we use a lot of terminology that you may not understand. This blog is to help you get to know some of our terms in regard to your wedding photography.
It feels like it has been ages since I shared some real wedding inspiration so today I thought I would head back to last summer and the wonderful wedding of Emma and Dave at Bishopswood House.
Planning a wedding is no easy task. Most people only do it once in their lifetime (or at least that's the plan), and so it's not something you tend to get a lot of practice in. This is why many people choose to use the expertise of a wedding planner but if that's not for you then we have a solution. Here is a practical checklist to follow with the 5 most important things you need to do and when.
My last wedding of 2018 was a wonderfully laid back wedding for Tasha and Toby set at The Old Lodge on Minchinampton Common[https://food-club.com/weddings/]. Not only was it a special day for Tasha and Toby, it is also my own wedding anniversary which Tasha and Toby took as a good sign (Mr G and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary this year!).
I love weddings, they are a wonderful celebration of two people showing their love of one another. Each wedding is unique and leaves a lasting memory. My favourite memories from Nick and Deborah’s wedding at Hatton Court Hotel feature confetti and my worry over a pair of trousers!
This year has certainly flown by, I am for sure playing catch up on blogging some of the fabulous weddings I had the pleasure in capturing this year. One of the last weddings of year for me was Jade and Matts unique day at Hatton Court in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.
Recently I had the pleasure of working with Heart of the Cotswolds - independent celebrants, I was intrigued to discover how they work differently to vicars, priests and registrars. Gillian from Heart of the Cotswolds was kind enough to explain their role and how they can help make your day truly special.
Teepees, vintage cars, marshmallows and beer! Emily and Roland’s Gloucestershire teepee wedding had a wonderful festival feel and was a joy to capture.
Clearwell Castle Wedding Venue - one of the UKs premier wedding venue, the perfect venue for a special and my first wedding of 2018. It is always a pleasure to capture a couple’s special day here, the grounds are stunning even in winter, inside you are spoilt for choice when its comes backdrops for photographs.
Rosie and Ben's wedding at Haslebury Mill in Somerset.
Amanda and Giuliano’s wedding was sophisticated, elegant and beautiful. Amanda looked stunning in her dress and Giuliano, and his best men, looked very dapper in their tuxedos. The venue, Clearwell castle[http://www.clearwell-castle.co.uk] in the Forest of Dean, was stunning, especially midst the glorious weather and blossoming grounds, which were perfect for the bride and grooms intimate photographs.
