Family photography - Elsie-Mae visits the studio
Family photography in the Studio
It is always a pleasure to welcome back clients for family photography sessions, whether it is update family photographs, to capture a celebration, or to mark a milestone. Most importantly family portrait sessions capture a moment in time and help us to treasure a memory for a lifetime. Back in October I had the pleasure of working once again with Becky and James, I first met this lovely couple when I photographed their wedding the previous year - you can read about their wedding here.
I was so pleased to hear from them when they were expecting their first child and how they would like me to capture her first photographs. Becky and I planned the session together sharing ideas and inspiration via a secret board on Pinterest - I love this method of sharing as it can help me plan the session and to have a feel of the type of images the family are wanting. On Becky’s board were a variety of different ideas, some family ideas and inspiration for Elsie-Mae’s individual portraits.
The session was booked for when Elsie-Mae was nearly 4 months old and we had a lot of fun incorporating some of the gifts that she has received since coming into the world. We used a cream backdrop and a simple colour scheme throughout the images with a hint of chestnut to tie all the images together. As well as portraits of Elsie, Becky and James wanted a few family images to show how their family has grown since getting married and the bond and the love that has developed between them all.
Here are just a few of our favourites from the session. Enjoy x
I love working closely with families to plan their sessions, please feel free to contact me to plan your session.
