I am sure you have lots of questions before booking Capture this Moment Photography to capture your special day, here are some of the most frequently asked questions - if I haven't answer all of your questions please do get in contact with me and I will try my best to help.
Will we meet before the wedding?
Yes! Personally I like to meet you before you book with me. Tea, coffee or gin will feature as will cake! Just to make sure we are a great fit - after all I am joining you and your family and friends to capture one of the most important days of your lives. You need to feel comfortable and know you can trust me to do my job. After booking, I like to keep in touch with you, so feel free to to drop an email, a text or call if you have any questions. Prior to your day, we will meet around 2-3 weeks before the big day to go through timings, any must have shots and the final details of your day.
Do you keep a backup of our images after delivery?
Yes, I store your images for up to 2 years after delivery. Don't worry, I will message you before I delete your files so that you can check your storage and backup.
Do you have full Insurance and Public Liability?
Yes, Capture this Moment Photography is fully insured by Infocus Insurance, I also have employers liability to cover any second photographers or students who maybe working with me.
Do we have an option of adding on a second photographer?
Yes. We chat about this at the time of booking. I use other professional photographers to second shoot with me, I will edit the final images to ensure consistency. Occasionally I have photography students on work experience, I will always let you know if they joining me for your wedding, you will of course have access to any of the images they have taken.
Do you require a meal at the wedding?
No, I am happy to provide my own, however I always appreciate it if offered. I will take a break whilst you eat your wedding breakfast and will be back with you ready for speeches.
How long until we see our wedding pictures?
You will receive your highlights gallery within 3 working days, usually within 48 hours if I'm not shooting a wedding the day after. The average editing time is between 2 to 4 weeks depending on the time of year.
What happens if you are ill?
If the worst ever happens and I absolutely cannot make your day, I am part of a great network of photographers that all help each other out if the need arises.
What happens if your equipment fails?
I shoot with 2 cameras throughout the day, both cameras have two memory cards slots so I leave your wedding with a back up. I also have 2 additional camera bodies and selection of lenses in my car just in case. My first job when I get back home (after saying hello to the dog, my husband and grabbing a gin!) is to back up your images to another external hard drive which is copied to a cloud based storage system.
How many images will I receive?
The final number of images is very much dependant on how much is going on, hours travelling and size of wedding. It is usually between 500- 700 images.
I can’t see many formal group shots on your website, do you do them?
Yes, I will always do these, I understand that this may be one of the only times that certain family members get together and it is an important historical reference of your wedding day. I do however, encourage guests to grab me at any time for smaller group shots throughout the day.
Do you share images on Social Media?
I believe you should be the first people to see your wedding images, therefore I send over to you a highlights slideshow direct to your inbox, I do not post sneak peeks online. If you are happy with me sharing images online just let me know.
As a photographer it is important for me to showcase my work, however I appreciate not everyone wants theirs lives spread across social media and therefore I will also ask you if you are happy for me to share any images online following your big day.
We would love to book Capture this Moment Photography, what do we do now?
As soon as you are happy to proceed, a non-refundable booking fee of 25% of the full package price will secure my services for the day. The balance will need to be paid no later than 14 days before the wedding day. I will email you the payment details and a contract for you to sign. Once both of these are back with me, your date is officially booked.
